Geometry: Geometry is a unique math class due to its focus on visualization. While Geometry tends to work less with procedural equations and computation, it is by no means less rigorous; in Geometry, students will be introduced to algorithmic thinking and expression by means of explicit, rigorous proofs and transformations on the coordinate plane.

Hi! My name is Ms. De Jong (pronounced Dee-young), and I began my teaching career in the 2021-2022 school year through the Urban Teachers program. I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in third grade, but for a while I convinced myself that I was going to work in tech for some big, fancy software company. However, my heart has always been in teaching, and I kept being drawn back to it. In my spare time, I like to bake muffins, spend time with my friends, and practice kendo (you can google it!).
